The daily planner by the dotted pearl is so easy to use and i would recommend it to anyone starting on the planning journey as the pages are not dated… so no wastage if you fail to plan.😉 We all know what they say about writing down our goals and plans, right?
It might be my stationery addiction, but writing makes a lot of things better. It helps you put problems or plans in focus, so you can clearly see and tackle them bi’idhnillah.
The planner has 3 different sections;
- Top 3 tasks to do [also known as most important tasks]. Here, i write down tasks that I cannot delegate and I wouldn’t depend on any one else to achieve. And until these are done, I do not let me scroll through my insragram feed (most of the time).
- If i get the chance, I would love to do…This section is for stuff that are not immediately pressing and i can probably delegate them or need someone else to maybe receive the tasks like call someone (I cannot speak to you until I can reach you so…)
- Daily habits – Where I note down all the sunnah practices I have revived or in the process of reviving. E.g. Morning and evening adhkars, Suratul Mulk before bed, wudhu at bedtime…you catch my drift.
I keep updating and checking boxes all through the day. Finally at the end of the day, for the unchecked boxes, I write reasons (with a different coloured pen) that hindered their completion (sometimes its not my fault like i needed to call someone but the person was unreacheable, other times its just my laziness and procrastination🙈).The point of this is that eventually, i can find the hindrances to my tasks and correct them. So I would review these reasons weekly and take steps to correcting them InshaaAllah.
